General grant-making information

The following general information is provided to assist with the application process.

Opening date for applications

The opening date for applications is 1 April each year. 

If an application is an urgent or emergency application please contact the the Executive Officer to discuss how to lodge this application. Once these applications have been received they are considered at the next Trustees meeting.

Closing date for applications

The closing date for applications is 30 June each year.

The Trustees' normal practice is to finalise their decisions on applications in the last quarter of each calendar year. 

Lodging an application

All applications are to be submitted online using the online application form which can be found under the Apply for a Grant tab.

Before completing the form you will be asked to create an account. Please complete these details and then you will be able to access the online application form.

If you are unable to lodge an online application please contact the the Executive Officer to make other arrangements to lodge an application.

Timing and funding decisions

The Trustees make grants in one round each year. 

The decisions of the Trustees are notified to all applicants in early November. Successful applicants receive payment for the approved funding at the same time.

If the Trustees regard any application as particularly urgent, they may fast-track consideration of the application and, if approved, the payment will be made within a week of being approved.



Applications for 2017 are now being reviewed.

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application once the review process has been finalised.
